SANTA CLARA, California – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Santa Clara University’s Retail Management Institute (RMI) announces the first 2021 appointment to its advisory board. Kris Bazán ’92, ’99 MBA, Senior Director, Customer Marketing and Global Retailing at Apple, joins an impressive group of select CEOs, Presidents, EVPs, CMOs, CTOs and directors from influential Silicon Valley, San Francisco Bay Area and leading brands at. The Advisory Board offers insights and perspectives to ensure RMI remains a top retail business education target.

Bazán joined Apple in 2002 and has led global marketing teams in business, education, government, and retail. In her current role in retail, she and her team are responsible for global marketing for product launches, store openings and seasonal initiatives.
She held global management positions at Hewlett Packard, bringing high availability products to market, and at Blue Pumpkin Software, where she led corporate communications and sales for the early start-up.

Bazán holds both a BS in Commerce and an MBA from Santa Clara University. She has been a competitive runner since high school and ran for Santa Clara Cross Country. She now hits the trail or track a few times a week. Bazán lives in Los Gatos with her husband and two children aged 14 and 10.
